Hi!! I am still lurking on here but don't have much time to post..

Scooby is doing really well - nearly 6 weeks post amputation and he's adapted well. Back to 20-30 min walks and running for his ball. He's so fast!!

however today he's been acting a bit oddly.. Whining quite a bit more than usual (he's quite a noisy dog anyway with his sighs, groans and whines) but more than usual today. Don't know if it's cos he's annoyed that we went out last night and has had the hump... Or something more sinister.

He's just been acting a bit funny today and I can't put my finger on it.. Like lying in different places than usual around the house aswell which is weird.

am I just overly worrying??! He's having his second round of chemo this week hopefully. He was supposed to have it last week but his white cell count was too low (2.3)

I can't quite get over the fact that he won't be with us for years to come. He's only 2 and I'm finding it really hard atm to come to terms with it and I think I'm over-analyzing everything 😔😔

Okay, first of all, HAPPY SIX WEEK AMPUVERSARY SCOOBY!!! clap

It sounds like your "limping issue" a couple of weeks ago is all in the past and you are being your happy jubilant self!way-cool

HOWEVER Mr. Scooby, the down side of all that youngster giddiness, is that you could definitely strain your back, jave sore muscles, etc. Especially if you had that type of "episode" a couple of weeks ago.

Eating, drinking, pooping, peeing okay? Alert, good attitude, tail wagging? Of ourse, I'm no vet, but the whining, seeking out a more "comfortable place", all could be signs of pain related to a strained muscle, etc. Check with your vet and see if you can give him .aybe some Tramadol for a couple of days, along with a bit more rest and confinement.

As far as worrying about the future and thinking in terms of timeframes, remember, NOW is all that matters! To focus on what you .ay lose own the road, prevents you from enjoying what you DO have now! Its a hard lesson to master, but once you get it you are able to enjoy the riches of being fully present with Scooby...and that makes Scooby a very happy boy!

Please keep us ppsted. Let us know if the vet prescribes anything and how it's working if he does.

HUGS!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
