My bulldog had her amputation last Wednesday and today, major seeping coming out of the stitches. I'm so afraid, is this normal?

Hi and welcome. I hope you don't mind but I moved your post so that you and your pup have a new discussion all to yourselves.  What's your dog's name? Why did she lose her leg? Do tell!

We talk about this condition quite a bit, if this is what you are describing. Before you do anything else DO let your vet know what's going on. Then come back here where you'll learn that it's probably a "seroma " which you'll find quite common after amputation. Click on the link for more info OK?

Is the seepage more watery than bloody? If so, it's probably a seroma .

Is there any smelly or geenish discharge? If not, it's probably a seroma .

Again, we aren't vets so PLEASE let your vet know what's going on just to be safe OK?

We'll be here for you so don't be shy.
