Sassy is having a really good day.  Decided to keep her less active as far as walking so she doesn't over do it.  As I thought she might be having a little problems as she was doing too much walking and with being knocked over a few times by her "brother" Bosch I thought it was better to confine her for a few days.   Other than that I think she is doing great.  Gone up the front steps with help, the garage steps only 2 main steps she has done by herself a couple of times :)   So we are getting there.

Tomorrow is the first treatment of Chemo.  I know she doesn't act like it will bother her.  I am a little nervous as to what to expect as far as if she will be sick, etc.  Did meet with the Dr on Saturday so I know the potential side effects but just as to how Sassy will react is what I am nervous about.  We have her fenced off area so no other dogs or people can walk through.  I have a bucket to put poo in of course double bagged, rubber gloves etc.  already I guess.

Good thoughts for you and Sassy.  Hopefully, chemo will be uneventful, or at least minimally uneventful.

I'm sure Sassy will do just fine with chemo.  Most dogs don't have problems with it, but just remember to follow your instincts.  If something doesn't seem right, then let your vet know - most times IF there is a problem (vomiting/too much lethargy, etc) they can give meds or make adjustments so that future chemo treatments will have less adverse effects.  Good luck!!

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11.  A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...
