Yeah, the hospital meds are getting out of his system now and the pain may be a little stronger now. Sam may experience panting, whining and restlessness for several more days.

You're handling your stress in a productive way....laundry, cleaning, Scandals....err....ah....two out of three anyway! I pretty much went on a junk food junkie binge!

Post when you can...I know you have your hands full! Is that sweet Sam eating, drinking, pooping, peeing okay?

Hang in there! You are so strong and have already been on a very stressful journey BEFORE you even got to the amputation part! You BOTH are strong and will get to better days very, very shortly! And those days, months and years will be full of so many tail wags, sloppy kisses and snuggles you'll have to force yourself to make time to sleep!clap

For now though, I'll send you some extra zzzzz's ! Just curious, would you like some more laundry to help you relax?clown

Lots and lots of panting and restlessness today and last night.  Probably going to take him to the vet today....to check and adjust meds. 🙁  He only ate about 1/2 of his food this morning, but up until then it's been OK.

I haven't made it through my pile, but thanks!  I do a great job of forcing through the washer and dryer, but folding and putting away is a challenge!

He was dehydrated. We stayed for 3 hours and he drank water, we adjusted meds and were sent on our way. He's still not super excited about drinking and eating today, but we've been workng on it.. Vet thought overall he looked really good, and before we came in he was worried by the description....

Whew! Oh good to hear the vet isn't worried, it does help to have that extra set of eyes doesn't it? Glad to hear overall things are moving along. I hope he starts to feel better.

You're an excellent pawrent, keep it up!

Can't remember if I mentioned this before or not, but my Happy Hannah panted, paced was very restless for several days straight. she was just so miserable andit was hard to see her and not being able to help her!

Needless to say, recovery did take place and we had the most joyful, blissfully happy times anyone could imagine!

Sam.is really going to wag his tail non stop with all the loving and spoiling he is going t o get.

HANG IN THERE! You both are.doing great! And your laundry looks spotless!

HUGS!
