This past month has not been easy but we have something to celebrate!
Today is Roxy's FIVE MONTH ampuversary!
Roxy says "Rub mah belleh!"
And it just so happens that on her ampuversary, she's getting this handsome fella!

Awww, Happy Ampuversary, Roxy!!!! Hope you get tons of belly rubs, and a few ear scratchies, too! I'm guessing that's your new brother? Beautiful!

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Also, I am happy to report that Roxy at a bunch more solid foods today! We bought some of that natural stuff in the tube that you can get in the refrigerated area of the pet food, and she ate almost half a tube!

What an awesome PAWESOME day!!!! Congrats on 5 months! Congrats on eating nearly a tube 'o food! Congrats on that sweet spot on the couch! And congrats to Zeus! He's handsome and is joining a FABULOUS family!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!

Yeah Roxy! Happy 5 month Ampuversay...and congrats on new brother, Zeus. That refrigerated tube/chub you ate seems to be good tasting as my dog loves it. Freshpet also makes the grain free version called Vital.

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
