May I ask what you used as a harness or assistive device to help Harley walk? Her help em up harness is digging right into her incision site making it tender to touch. Incision was perfect yesterday, today pink and a bit of dried blood from the harness squeezing on it...Id like to use something softer and more gentle...
We helped with a towel a few times and my husband carried him in and out to do his business mostly because Harley had no confidence to go up/down the two stairs at the front of our house. But he was able to move around on his own once outside and also able to get himself up to move around inside the house. He got a bit more comfortable and mobile every day. We had to use the muzzle on him whenever lifting/carrying him or using the towel because he is not stoic and will bite..... I just bought a Ruff Wear Webmaster which we will try once he has been cleared by the Surgeon but will likely only use it when getting him into and out of the vehicle.
Aww poor Koko! I'm sorry to hear that. We always recommend using a t-shirt on the dog underneath a Ruffwear Flagline harness , or Webmaster, but only if you have to use a harness before stitches come out. How bad is the irritation?
