hi,

Bentley and I will be going to the surgeon tomorrow to check on his possible new tumor but I figured I'd see of any of you have any experience with this first. He keeps getting these bumps on his back and I found one on his head and a few on his legs. They kind of look like dog pimples or could look like bug bites. I'm not sure if this could be a responce to the chemo or if I'm just being crazy and it's nothing. Any one else see these on their baby during chemo?

thanks!

Hmmmm....my first unprofessional, non vet thought is allergy and/or some type of insect nest he's gotten into. Either scenario seems more likely to me than anything "bad" to worry about. Perhaps, with vet approval of course, you could give Honey Bentley a Benadryl

Don't recall reading about any skin allergic reaction to chemo but it certainly could happen I suppose.

This journey makes us rush to the vet with every little hiccup or burb. And it's always notning more than an actual hiccup or burp! And the new lump you've found is probably nothing either. But always good to get those annoying lumps and bumps checked out.

Update us, okay? And don't forget to post a picture of his handsome adorable self!!

Love and hugs

That's so hard to say without seeing them in person, and without being a vet of course. Your vet will have a better idea and I'm betting it's probably something really simple and not at all a big deal. Promise to keep us posted OK?

Hi Bentley and familyheart

Eurydice has lots of those sort of pimples especially on the outside of her back legs and chest area and she is also doing chemo.

I shown them to the vet and a few days later to the oncologist and it turns out it is some sort of allergy to plants, so nothing to worry about.

Having said this, do check with your vet to get peace of mind !

Sending you a big hug and ear scratches to your cutie heart

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
