She looks so hoppy in that first pic! And in the second it looks like she's trying really hard to go potty!

The poop will happen, sometimes it takes a couple of days. But if she hasn't peed in a few hours you may want to call your vet to let them know. On rare occasions vets have to help things along, but hopefully that won't happen. Keep us posted.

Awww, looks like Ms. Moby is doing really good, getting some fresh air always helps. Although those first couple of nights of a wimpering baby are tough the day time when they can wake up from a nap and see you and move around are great. We hope for a speedy and smooth recovery for Moby! I love Spaniels!!!

All our Best!

ps we all need to know about the pee and poop so we can do the dance with you......!

Yes, let us know when she "goes" so we can do the Happy Hoppy Post-op Poop Dance with you. (Yes, that really is a thing.) 🙂

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Ohhhh well taking a wee is a GREAT sign!

You can try speeding up her BMs by adding olive oil to her food, canned pumpkin pulp, steamed squash or sweet potato or even sprinkle a bit of Metamucil. That should really help!

oh, I think I need to clarify... The Happy Hoppy Post-op Poop Dance isn't like a rain dance... It doesn't make the poop happen. It's a celebratory thing! When she poops, you'll see... You'll do a little dance in your yard out of happiness/hoppiness. Then you report to us, and we all do a little dance along with you, and every one gets a treat in celebration!

So be sure to report to us when The Business happens!

That's a shame it doesn't work like a rain dance laughing We're still waiting!

Moby has her post op check in a couple of hours so we'll see the wound for the first time.

Moby had a really good second night, she settled down and didn't make a sound. We're not so rested as we spent the second night on the sofas!

The meds really. Mess with their tummies, so it's pretty common for that first poop to be 4, 5, or even 6 days post-op.

Glad to here she had a good night; sorry that you didn't! Hope the post op appt goes well!

Always a hoppy time when you come home. When you finally do poop you will be even hoppier.
