I've read some past posts on the issues of panting at night and agitation. Noah is 2 1/2 weeks post op with a foreleg amp. The past few days he has gotten very restless in the evening and pants heavily. It seems that this is a common problem in he early weeks of recovery. Last night when Noah started his panting and moving around the room, I got him to lay by me and started massaging him. This seemed to help a great deal and he eventually settled down for a while. After we went to bed he started again. He came to lay by the bed and I massaged him a bit more. A few minutes later he moved away and settled down for the night. BTW the video on massage therapy for dogs was very helpful. I've been doing this with Noah every day and he definitely seems more active. He stands up more quickly and is more willing to follow me around the house the way he used to.

Thanks! Glad to hear massage is helping Noah recover comfortably. Others may find your tip very helpful too.
