Have just read your story. Absolutely brilliant. !!! I've got tears of laughter running down my face. Poor girl, what a cruel mummy you are, and all because she like to wear her bloomers low. There's an age of children that wear their trousers around their ankles, why shouldn't Meg. laughing

Oooh, you stirrer! Meg saw that. And now she says if I ever try trimming her bloomers again, she's going to jump on a train to St Andrews and go and live with you and Mistletoe... Brace yourselves, that's all I can say!

Well, day 4 of NO Tramidol. She's still not eating normal meal size, but is eating. !! Just wish she was eating bigger meals. Keep telling myself " slowly, slowly".

We've had poo's, but laughing got a solid one today, no need for the watering can. (Can't think of any conversation you would bring that up in, except this site lol. )

Have an appointment this week with a Chinese Herbalist. Have already ordered Artimesinsin, waiting for it's arrival. Lets see what this lady can advise us on.

I think it's time now to leave this forum/topic and start a new one, as we start the next chapter of our journey. Thanks go to all that have given advice, help and support.

Glad to hear the very lovely Mistletoe is doing SO well.

On peanut butter - I have tried many, many varieties from very, very, organic, minimal ingredient to very commercial PB.  And have definitely found with some that the PB gets licked and pill left behind. I think the trick to the Jif Natural is that it binds enough to allow me to basically shape the PB in a spoon into a ball around the pill.  It is not goopy at all - especially coming straight out of refrigeration.  And I offer up that ball of PB and he takes it - I sort of deliberately place it back on his tongue a bit rather than having him take it off the spoon with tip of tongue...

It does have sugar in it and palm oil  - I think palm oil is what binds it so well:

PEANUT BUTTER SPREAD (PEANUTS, SUGAR, PALM OIL, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF: SALT, MOLASSES), HONEY

No Xylitol which is what you need to be very beware of.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
