Dear Deb,
We am in exactly your situation. Our wonderful, handsome, life-loving 3 year old boxer, Viggo, was diagnosed with Osteo. Had his right rear leg amputated two weeks ago. When we went in for an oncology consult they found that a lymph node in his abdomen is affected. Now we're not sure if it makes sense to proceed with chemo.
Please let me know how Sadie has fared with the chemo. This disease is just devastating 🙁
Thank you!
PS: If any one else has experience or advice with this kind of situation, please share, we are so confused.

Louise,I look forward to seeing your new ppst/thread about your LIVELOVING VIGGO!!
You've already seen my response, along with others, to sweet Sadie. I'm not sure if Sadie continued with additional chemo or not.
We'll be watching for your thread so we can address specifics regarding Viggo. One thing we've all learned on this journey...every dog is different! Well, two things....and no dogs have time frames stamped on tneir butts!!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Thank you both! I have posted a new topic in the forums. I look forward to hearing what people say.
It's so hard to not get overwhelmed by the numbers. Especially when a dog has had a much bad luck with odds and Viggo has (see my more detailed account in the new topic).
PS: How do I change my avatar? I signed up for a guest account, but I can't seem to log into it--says my email isn't on file...
