Someone just sent me a link to this site about the use of neoplasene to treat cancers. She said she has a dog with a mast cell turmor on it and the tumor is shrinking from use of this product. Case studies focus mainly on oral cancers, liposarcomas, fibrosarcomas, mast cell tumors, and things like that. BEWARE! There are some graphic pictures. I have a strong stomach and was glad I was not eating. Animals treated include dogs, cats, and horses. There is even a human case study. There are other products on the site as well for a variety of ailments.Just an FYI and to see if anyone has tried this.

Heather thanks for sharing this info. We do have some discussions about neoplasene, in these search results.
Coincidentally, we asked onco doc Dr. Turner about this treatment in our most recent Tripawd Talk Radio episode. She does not recommend this treatment for many reasons, which you can hear about in the episode. Last week she kindly sent us a white paper about why she feels this way, which we will post in our Downloads blog very soon. Stay tuned for that.

Scout's holistic vet had him on oral neoplasene-- right after the amputation until his death 9 months later. It did not appear to have any side effects. It also did not appear to do anything to fight cancer (in my opinion). Would not use it again as it was very expensive ($275 a bottle) and seemingly useless.

The only experience I had with this product was for a mast cell tumor that had not responded to traditional chemo and surgery. I gave the injection into the tumor as described and the whole thing started to slough off a few days later. It was a big mess and I had to put the dog on high doses of pain meds because it got so inflamed. It also did not work since the cancer did not go away completely but the owner declined further treatments. I will not try that injectable stuff again!

As promised, here is a JAVMA (Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association) paper that Dr. Turner gave us permission to share, about the dangerous risks of using neoplasene to treat subcutaneous dog cancer tumors. Scary stuff.
