Cemil played for a minute with the other dogs today!  He's been taking it easy and playing the invalid for a little over 4 weeks.  Today, he smiled and wagged and played.  Yesterday, he barked at people outside the fence.  You all were right and he just went at his own pace.  Hear that?   that's him barking some more--break's over, neighbors.

Yay for Cemil!  I think Cemil and Shadow were on the same pace.  Today is officially 4 weeks since Shadow's amputation.  He literally laid and slept around for the first 3 weeks.  We started seeing more spunk in him last week, when he went upstairs by himself and gave me a heart attack, and then played tennis ball a few times this week.  Then he wanted to show off his toys last Thursday when some friends came over.  It's great to see them more back to their old selves isnt it?

Nothing wrong with taking it at your own pace- Way to go Cemil - glad you're feeling like your old self again.

Shadow- you too- way to go. I remember when Wrigley snuck up the stairs for the first time- heart attack indeed.

Keep  up the good progress!

I'm not so sure it isn't better for them to take it more slowly.  It give them much more time to heal before they begin to push the envelope so to speak.

Way to go Cemil!  and Shadow, too.  You guys rock.

Thanks, Jim, for posting Cemil's portrait.  I think he's brag-worthy, but I try to keep myself under control.  Wish I had another milestone to share for this thread, but everything is going along pretty normally right now.

Mary,

That is absolutely beautiful. He looks so handsome. He's definitely brag worthy. Give him a big hug and kiss from us. Glad to hear he continues to do so well. Lots of love shows in that big smile.

Take Care.

Cemil is so very beautiful, and maybe better than that....those peaceful and soulful eyes.  What a beauty.

I think he looks like Aslan from Narnia!  What a cutie, and his neck fur looks quite squishable 🙂
