Oh no! What kind of symptoms is she showing?
Well she is sleeping in a crate next to our bed. My husband put her in at 1 AM and when we got up at 5 AM to give her more meds she had pee'd twice in the crate. We have a dog door so the dogs don't have to ask to go out; she never cried or anything. She is on clavamox already so hopefully it clears up soon.
I started doing warm presses like they recommended with a warm paper towel in a freezer bag and that seemed to help her. She is in a deep sleep next to me dreaming and I haven't seen that in the last day.

Poor Lila! This is the last thing any pup needs while recuperating, but we just have to keep telling ourselves that it could be worse right?
Well I hope that she starts to feel better and won't need to go to the vet for this. Let us know how she does.

Poor sweetie. (Could it be that she was just too doped up from the pain meds and didn't realize she needed to go?)
Hope she is feeling better soon. Glad to hear she is already hopping around. That's a good sign. I bet her big ol' ears are adorably floppy when she hops!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Her leg lab work came back as mast cell grade 2, which is good news. They could not give a completely confident answer on the edges of the leg in terms of spread because she was so irritated and inflamed but they said they did not find anything. So we can hope that we got most, if not all, of it. We are going to still do chemo to be safe.
Her bladder infection seems to have gone away, and we have taken her pain meds down. She is now run-hopping around and acting more like her old self, including begging:

Hooray for the good news! Glad to hear she is acting like her usual self. Every self-respecting hound needs to beg! 🙂

She is gorgeous. Hope the bladder infection resolves soon.
I read back through your earlier posts and have to say making the decision to amputate is one most people just don't get. It is about making the right choice for you and your pet. Wishing Lila a speedy recovery.
