Well today was our second follow up on our Metronomics. We did another set of x-rays, blood work and urine. Urine & blood all looked great. Some good news and some bad news. I am continuing to looking at it as more good than bad. All those little mets are holding steady. That one big one though just continues to grow. Dr Boyer said all lung fields still sound clear.

"You aren't doing it TO her, you are doing it FOR her. Give her a chance at life."
Michelle that really is, under the circumstances, a good report! Her body is still holding all the bad stuff at bay.....blood work good, etc. That really is tilting the scales in sweet Sassy Sugar Bear's favor:-)
Just go back a few posts AFO and look I to the eyes of that incredible portrait of Sassy........now thar's one nappy girl full of life and still has a lot more blossoming to do!"
The joyous bright light in her eyes just jumps off the page!
Bloom on sweet Sassy!
Lots of love to you both! Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Michelle this is pretty good news all things considered. The metronomics is mostly doing it's job. I'm happy to hear that, but best of all she still has a GREAT quality of life.
You know the drill, focus on the positive and envision that nasty larger met being smooshed like Boris and Natasha!

I'm happy things are pretty much the same. The metronomics are doing their job and that's awesome!

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Christine & Franklin
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Way to fight it Sassy! Go ahead and do the happy dog dance!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
I missed this post! I didn't realize it was a Sassy update. WOW, that is good news! I know, that 1 big one keeps growing, but whatever. Those many other little ones are holding steady. Plus, it sounds like Sassy shows no additional signs of ANYTHING, so that's superb! Keep it up!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
You go girl!!! Sassy, you beautiful girl, keep kicking cancer's butt!! Please give Sassy ear scratchies from Lily:) Sending you many pawsitive thoughts!
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
