LOOK WHO'S HOME!!!
Vet called this morning and reported that Jersey Girl was alert, wagging her tail and even walking a bit (with help from a vet tech). Although her pcv is still low, it's stable and she can go home. YIPPEE, YAY, WOOHOO!!!
*They loaded her into the car on a gurney but she was bright eyed and wagging her tail
*She rested her head on my leg the whole ride home
*She gave Papa Bear his special kisses
*She wouldn't eat today at the vet but she devoured a whole bowl of rib meat within 5 minutes of being home
*She tried to get up to go potty, or so we thought. She really just wanted to sit outside in the sun! Yay!
*She stood in the yard (with my help) smelling everything for like 4 or 5 minutes, then she laid down
*A neighbor came by while she was on the lawn and she got up to greet her (with my help)!
*She's laying in the living room watching TV with all of us. Our black lab, Hitch, is laying right next to her
The vet told us to expect Jersey to lay around for 2 weeks, gaining strength daily. But based on the first 3 hours home, I think she might rebound faster. Trying not to expect that though. Maybe our visit yesterday gave her energy!!!
Thanks for the prayers, support and positive energy. It worked! Yay!

Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Yay! Wonderful that she is home and on the mend. She is taking the long way to normal, but it will be all the sweeter when she gets there!
