Jerry, wanted me to post this picture of Brownie's incision site. This his first day home after surgery, day three. If you look close you can see the site is already pink. Sorry the photo is not real clear. The bandage is for his pain patch.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Thanks for sharing Nancy! I was so amazed that this was Day 3 I thought it was worth sharing. I wish all amputation incisions could look this good! Did he ever have any issues with the surgery site?

No never. No swelling, brusing or seeping. We did take it easy for the first two weeks. When Brownie would get restless I would sit on th e floor and bread to him, or he would do a puzzle.
Brownies vet was very clear that only limited activity for two weeks.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
