Trinadad is on day 3 of rear leg amputation . My heart hurts for her . She's really doing good I think , I just don't want her over doing it .
I am trying to keep her routine normal as possible and I see her trying to figure things out but she's wanting to get on window seat "favorite place to look outside"
but I know she can't jump . Just don't want her getting depressed or sad -
any suggestions ?

Also- I hope you don't mind that I moved your post since this is a recovery type question.
Three days out from amputation is very early. Â Our vet told us that Maggie (also a rear amp) was only to walk for potty breaks, otherwise she should be resting. Â No running, jumping or playing. Â In my case that was easy- Maggie, a pug, pretty much stayed in her bed for a few weeks.
Tell us more about Trinadad- how big is she? how old? Â why the amp? Â More information will help us answer your questions.
Remember to stay positive around Trinadad- she needs you to be a strong, positive, pack leader so she knows everything will be OK.

Hi and welcome. Yep, ditto to what Kerren and Karen said. I agree, day 3 is suuuuper early. Confinement is key to a safe, uneventful recovery. But I'm guessing that Trinadad is a cat? If so. I think that like Kerren said, you could supervise her in a window seat for some brain stimulation. We also recommend some mind games you can do together, since working out the mind is even more exhausting that working out the body, only in a good way that won't hurt her right now.
Yes do tell us all about her, we'd love to hear more.
