I have attempted numerous times to link a photo for you, but nothing seems to work right.
See if you can follow this link. https://plus.go.....5363470850
I don't know if the photos there are easily shared, if you can't see it, I'll stick it on my photobucket and share it there.
As for treatment, etc. Chico did both iv and oral chemo for 5 months (vincristine and I can't remember the oral one right off). After those 5 months, he was reduced to oral only for 7 months. Right now we don't go back to the oncologist for another month and it will be determined at that point whether or not to continue chemo. He has had no sign of recurrence or metastasis!!
We feed grain free --we went the gamut on brands. We were feeding Taste of the Wild lamb for years but decided to get away from Diamond products. We must have tried two dozen different foods until I finally settled on Wellness Core Grain Free Original only because it is easy to find. He has no food issues--tends to eat anything that is put in front of him, so it was more my decision on what to eat and why.
The supplements I give him are milk thistle, alfalfa and Sam-E (all to support his liver). He also gets glucosamine/msm/condroitin (for his joints as they probably take a pounding!), a vitamin, k-9 immunity and vitamin C. He is also on Metacam, not for the pain relief, but for it's anti agenesis properties (the oncologist says it prohibits new cell growth--and hopefully no cancer cell growth).
Whoop whoop! You go, Chico! Love it!!!!
~Katy
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Way to go Chico. Hoppy Ampuversary. Many more years to come for you

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Aww I'm sorry the photos wouldn't post. Here is a link about adding photos to forum posts.
Thanks for sharing his treatment plan with us, sounds like those supplements are really helping!

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
