I was Hank's oncology appointment this morning. He stayed only 15 minutes in the exam room because I was in agreement with the amputation. He went and got the surgeon. We had a good chat. He did chest x-rays and there's no spread! Hank is a good candidate for the surgery. They expect him to live an other 3 year and are optimistic for even longer. They also showed me a financial option that I'm looking into. The surgeon said anytime I'm ready give them a call and they will make room for me asap.

Yipee! That's awesome that they feel he's a good candidate! Amputation is scary enough but when you get a doubtful vet, ugh.
I'm glad they gave you the green light so you can move forward. Whew, what a relief to get that appointment over with!
What is the financial option they recommended? Just curious.

Sounds like a great appointment. Sorry - I forget - what type of cancer does he have?
Hope all goes well with the surgery. Keep us posted on when he's due to go in for the amp and we'll all send good thoughts his way.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life.
