Wasnw able to see the facebooger vide.  Can you out itnon YouTube and then embed link here?

Yes, it IS exhausting for the pups as they use muscles they never knew they had trying to navigate on three legs.  Rest, rest and more rest....slooooow and easy.

Tail wags, wanting tummy rubs, eating. WONDERFUL NEWS!!!   He does, indeed, seem to have his pain managed (as best one can after major surger)!   EXCELLENT!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

The hospital meds are probably out of his system now, so he may not feel wuite as "perky" right now as the other pain meds take over.

Can't wait to see the video of this sweet boy!!!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Yeah, most dogs do have a little crash after they come home, it's like their body has caught up with their brain.

Your privacy settings on FB won't allow us to see the video. If you start a YouTube channel and make the videos public, you can embed them here and we'll be sure to add them to our own Tripawds playlist, which will always be there to help others on their own journey.

Good! I still help her some with the belly sling, but she did walk unassisted from the living room to the door to the back yard today. This was HUGE step forward!

Keep the updates comin' and those awesome videos!

Well, I knew there‘d be some rough days, and that we were just lucky to not have had one yet.  Gus headed out across a patch of rug-free hardwood floor today and wiped out, causing himself excruciating pain. I wasn‘t close enough to him to get him stopped when he decided to launch off the rug runners... Dang it.  Poor poor guy.  I wound up giving him an extra dose of pain medication (allowed per vet instructions) but I can tell he‘s still pretty sore every time he stands up.  At least he isn‘t still whimpering, and he‘s sleeping again.

He hadn‘t had much to drink before that and was totally disinterested in water after that, so I mixed a cup of chicken broth with a cup of water a little while ago - which he got down pretty quickly.  At least he still likes the yummy stuff!

Anyway, just trying to have a gentle recovery day that didn‘t go so well after the hardwood encounter.  I‘ll be getting more rugs this weekend to cover that gap area where he wiped out earlier.

Hope everybody else is doing well...

Oh no! Poor Gus sad Chy took a little spill today too as we were getting ready for a potty break. Apparently missy thought me getting my shoes on next to the door = car ride, needless to say she got a bit too excited.

I'm glad the extra pain meds made him more comfortable so he can get some much needed rest. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Spills definitely happen despite our best efforts. Otis fell down today! He was hopping so fast to go outside he tried to detour around me (off the runner) and slipped.

Maybe ice/heat will help Gus? You're doing great, this is a minor setback and he will be ok!

OKAY!!  LISTEN UP GUS, OTIS AND CHY!!!   REPEAT AFTER ME:  "HARDWOOD FLOORS ARE NOT MY FRIEND!.   I LOVE NON SLIP SCATTER RUGHS AND THEY LOVE ME!"

So glad all dogs are okay and resting up with some good pain meds.
