That new, bright blue mass on Miller's hind leg came back benign! It was completely excised and was a verson of a skin hemangiosarcoma - nothing else is needed to be done ;-) yay!

On a side note - anyone have suggestions for canned food? The honest kitchen just ain't working for Miller but the other two dogs love it! He's eating the Wysong Epigen dry food very well - but he's always been a dog that needs canned and dry or he just doesn't eat great - looking for a grain free - high protein - low carb canned.

Thanks!

Hooray for B9!!!

Don't have any advice on canned food. We only fed Abby canned food for a short while post-amp. (We gave her Newman's Own organic beef - which was totally grain free if I remember right and also something from Blue Buffalo - forget what it was.) I didn't really research it thoroughly at the time; just bought a few cans to tempt her tastebuds.

Congrats and treats all around to celebrate B9!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Happy B9!!

I feed the quad pugs Natures Balance Duck and Potato canned.  It is a limited ingredient food we stared years ago because Tani has IBD.  I actually just moved the pugs to Honest Kitchen with fresh meat and we don't use much canned anymore.  A little easier to do when you are feeding pug sized stomachs!

Yeh! Fantastic news.  The B9 chant worked this time!!!

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Nature's Variety Instinct- grain free is the recommendation that we received from our local pet health food store. We are doing high protein low carb also. So happy that the mass was benign!!!!

Joan and Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
