Hi, this is my first time here.

My Mocha is having her amputation soon. She has been completely non weight bearing for months and handles herself well on 3 legs already. We’re told recovery will mainly be wound care.

My question is-can Ieave her home for one day about 3 days post op? I work hybrid and need to go into the office for one day a few days after surgery.

I have a foster fail cat tripod and she just hopped back up 2 days later as a kitten 🙂

thanks!

Hi Cyndi! Welcome!

How is her recovery area set up? If you can keep her in a safe enclosure or closed off room, and have someone who can go and give her medication(usually 3x daily is best for consistent relief), she should be fine, Lots of folks have to go into work soon after surgery. Having a friend check on her would be ideal.
