Well Kirby went for her 2 week check up and suture removal this morning and the vet said she looks fantastic!  No more cone, kennel rest or leash walks, we are a-ok for full activities!   She said most dogs will self moderate but Kirby is special so I may have to do that for her ha habig-grin  We got Kirby some of the rubber booties suggested on this site for traction control in the house and they are amazing!  No more wipeouts!  I definitely know I made the right choice for Kirby as she is starting to get depressed in the kennel and I couldn't imagine having another month or more of it.... Here's to no more car accidents because we have no spare legs left!

Hooray for no more cone! I hear you about not having the spare anymore... I do worry sometimes about Abby's three remaining legs. I'm always telling her to be careful... As it she knows what that means! Oh well, we don't let it stop us from running and playing and we just hope for the best.

Hope Kirby continues to do well. Look forward to hearing more news of his adventures.
All the best,
Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Yep got the pawz boots!  Was so happy to find them at my local pet store:)  Here is a short video I took of Kirby yesterday.  The two puppies are hers from her spring litter, they are keepers!

Well link didn't work, stay tuned and I will get it on youtube!
