Bailey's breath doesn't stink anymore! I'm amazed! It had gotten pretty bad in recent years, but now he literally has NO bad breath at all. Did anyone else see this happen in their dog post-surgery? Do you all think that this is, in fact, a side effect of having the cancer removed?
OK, so Jill didnt have stinky breath BUT I swear I've told people this, before her surgery, I always said she didnt have a nice shiny coat like they say all cats should and it's a sign of good health. I SWEAR since her surgery her coat is GORGEOUS! I've been telling everyone that I think getting that nasty tumor outta her body has given her a healthy coat!! who knows!?!? maybe there are some healthy side effects????????????
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. That totally makes sense to me. When the body isn't well all sorts of side effects can happen.

Both things have happened to us. Cadence had some stinky breath and now its gotten better. Giving her kisses is more pleasant now. Though, I have to admit, I still gave her kisses with the stinky breath. Her coat is also very soft now. We haven't given her a bath since this whole ordeal started, so I was surprised when I would touch it, and it was so soft. The boyfriend thinks its due to her having more protein in her diet. I like to think its because she is healthier.

I think the removal of the cancer/tumor can help in it but also the change of diet might help a lot too. I honestly haven't noticed any changes in my boy so I wouldn't know for sure other than by what I read. Either ways a change for the better is a good change.
