It's our first day home. Looks like the fluid around the incision is much more than this morning. I know the vet said there will be fluid build up but I'm just wondering when to get worried.
Erica and Levi
Levi was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 7-7-11
Ampuversary 10-14-11
Lung Mets Discovered 1-4-12. Chemo seemed to not be working so we switched to Artemisinin and other supplements. In May, Levi developed a sinus infection and started having seizures. The cancer had moved to his brain. We let him go 6-26-12.
not unusual. many folks recommend getting a bag of frozen peas or such out of the freezer, wrap it in a cloth and hold it on the incision for 10 - 15 minutes. the fluid will eventually be re-obsorbed by levi's body. if it gets majorly 'big' by morning, you can consider going to have the vet drain it. gayle's got very 'puffy' the first couple of days, then receeded back down. good luck, and remember, when in doubt - get to the vet!
