Asking as it has been recommended for a friend's greyhound with STS in her mouth and it also was the IV chemo outlined for Pofi if we went that route.

Any pups or felines receive Doxo?  Any info to share on how it was tolerated would be welcome. Will also do a search, but thought I would ask.

Thanks!

Lisa, Minneapolis

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

Shea did 1 round of adriamycin which I believe is the same. About 2 days after her treatment she had no appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and extremely lethargic. She wouldn't even give kisses (which is what I think she lives for). She was definitely not herself and I considered not going forward with the chemo if this was how she was going to be moving forward. After about 3 days she was 100% back to herself. Eating, happy, playing, tail wagging, kiss giving Shea.  Her treatment plan was to alternate the adriamycin with the carboplatin. Since she had less side effects from the carboplatin and better response on the cancer the oncologist changed her solely to the carboplatin.
