So there was this "hot spot" on her hip on the opposite side of the amputation (front) that we've been watching. It's been there for a while but it had started looking worse. Well, in the past few days it's gotten huge, kind of hard, and ulcerated in the middle. We take her back to the vet today. He's not in, she sees diff vet who seems quite surprised. Even though she's on Baytril, new vet gives her Clavamox and an antibiotic ointment to kick it in the bud if it's a super hot spot. If that doesn't work, we are to assume it's metastasis and go from there. Stitches stay in (from amputation) for 4 or 5 more days and then she'll be back in anyway.
She's currently wearing my son's underwear, turned upside down with her tail out the fly, to keep her from licking it.

Rosie, scrappy little rescued chihuahua

I am sorry that Daisy has a suspicious lump on her other leg, hopefully it turns out to be benign rather than cancerous... They didn't do an aspirate or a biopsy? My dog Chloe had a tumor and they did both to confirm her diagnosis.
That upside-down-underwear-tail-out-the-fly image was absolutely hilarious!

PS. I don't know if you have read my other forum topic regarding the K9 cancer walk, but Chloe and I will be doing one in October. I am asking people on this website if they would like us to write the name of their cancer survivor or another dog that they had that was diagnosed with cancer in order to "walk" for them if you cannot attend the event. Whether they have/had 3 or 4 legs, we welcome all names. For example, I had another dog Bonnie who passed away from lymphoma many years ago and we will be walking for her too.

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Oh! Let's hope it's not. As a matter of fact, let's all think "hot spot" so it will be a hot spot!
We need pics of "Underdog"!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Fingers and paws crossed that it just needed additional antibiotcs.
