Hi! Bandit here wanting to know if anyone out there has experienced constipation post op? I had diarrea early Friday morning at the hospital. I came home on Saturday and I still have not pooped. I am eating and peeing as well as drinking lots of water. Daddy started giving me fish oil last night to try and loosen things up. Any other suggestions?

Hi Bandit, I didn't poop for a couple days after surgery either. This can be pretty common. More because we have to figure out the scary balancing act than actual constipation though.
If you're eating well for a few days and still not going, however, I'd consult your veterinarian. But I wouldn't worry too much. When we gotta go, we gotta go, and we go.
PS: All of your posts tend to mess with the forum layout for some reason. Their code includes table ormatting tags that are throwing things off. We've been editing them all to display properly.
