Hope you can help, Ferris or 3 year old Newfoundland had his front right leg to be removed due to bone cancer and is currently home recovering from the process. He does have some swelling (seroma ) and were advertised to ice the area 4 times a day, I have also heard that heat is better to help with this issue.
Would you please advise which way is the best to reduce the seroma ,many thanks for your time and consideration.
Hey there Ferris & people. When your vet told you to use ice, did they know about the seroma ? Generally, warm, moist compresses are recommended to drain fluid. Here's a post that explains:
