CBD, will it stop the growth of cancer cells?

Does anyone out there give CBD to their tripawd?  I have heard it stops the proliferation of cancer cells.  It is a bit pricey......so I would like some feedback before I invest in it for my dog, Mollie.  Mollie had her left front leg amputated Sept. 2, 2016 due to osteosarcoma. Thank you for your input.
