My holistic vet is big on cbd's.  Because I wasnt very interested,. I didnt ask her why etc..  My PT who is also an herbalist and an acupuncturist, has a mom with recently diagnosed lung cancer.. bad case.. His research showed him that it is the thc that does the work fighting the cancer.. so he made his mom a 3 month regimen of full extract oil.. He has offered this for Simon too.. any thoughts on this approach? anyone using this.?  I tried cbd for muscle stiffness and got no relief.. I also remember reading that it is the thc that does the work.. but I dont like the feeling of being " Hi" so I didnt pursue that option....

It is my understanding that CBD and THC work synergistically and that in combination CBD reduces the psychoactive effects of THC. What is unknown is what is the optimal ratio of CBD to THC and I am sure it would vary depending on what you were treating. Unfortunately the research just is not there yet! My dogs all get pure CBD oil. Obviously you have to be really careful not to overdose a dog on THC. I have done quite a bit of research on the topic and have come to the conclusion that no one knows jack about anything when it comes to cannabis! I have not heard that THC does all the work fighting cancer. Some people actually do whole plant juicing on the theory that because cannabis contains MANY compounds in addition to THC and CBD, most of which we know nothing about, and any of which could work synergistically, using the whole plant covers all the basesbig-grin
