Hello all! Brooklyn is one week from is amputation surgery and doing great. His leg was sent out for an additional biopsy and it came back that it was cancer just not osteosarcoma like the original biopsy stated. Apparently, the cancer he had was CURED by removing the leg ( I forgot the name of the cancer because I was so excited by the news). He does not need chemo and no longer has that awful time stamp of 6 -12 months. Words can't describe how this unexpected incredible news has made me feel. I've learned so many valuable lessons in life from this dog and he will continue to teach me!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
