Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Otis - 121 lbs pre amp - 114 lbs post amp and now 118 lb Great Dane - English Mastiff X. Started limping on 12/24/16. Diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 12/28/16 - amputation of front left leg on 1/6/17. Stitches out and 1st round of Chemo on 1/19/17. 2nd round of Carboplatin on 2/10/17 - 3rd round on 3/2/2017. 4th round was scheduled for 3/22/17 - however due to low WBC postponed - 4th Chemo completed on 3/28/17. Had breathing difficulties, stayed in Tufts ICU overnight. Due for 2 more rounds of Chemo but we are opting to go with homeopathy with Dr. Loops instead.

No wonder goofy Eurydice is in love, they are twin souls 😍
Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Had bloodwork done yesterday and we are all set for round three of chemo next week. His white count is great and he's been a happy, goofy boy this week!

Great to hear Astro's bloodwork is good. On to #3! He'll be at least half done with his Carboplatin.
Otis had his 3rd one last week and so far so good.
Love Astros pics. Otis hates the camera. I'm going to have to be sneakier to get pics of Otis being goofy. Nothing much cuter than a giant breed dog rolling around being a clown lol
How many rounds of Chemo are planned? Oncologist told us 6 if Otis tolerates the first 5 without any major issues.

We decided to do 4 and see how his bloodwork and lungs look. At this point, I'm inclined to only go 4 if everything looks good. Haven't found anything that definitively supports 6 as being significantly better than 4, assuming his xrays are good.
Glad to hear Otis is doing great and still leading the way!!!!

PS. Happy Hannah's Onco recommended four rounds also. That was the number she used in her clinic. Some Vets suggest more.

Three rounds of Carbo down and one to go! He had his followup bloodwork today and it all looks GREAT!! He's even gained back 2 pounds (which can probably be credited to the numerous double doubles he's had from in-n-out lately)...... It's SPRING (YAY) and he's HEALTHY (YAY) and the burger joint is just down the road (YAY)!! Keep on hopping, tripawds!!
