"She is getting stronger every day.  She has a problem though, in that the one back foot keeps knuckling under.   So when she moves in the cart - she's walking on top of the toes.  The other back leg seems to be funtioning properly - it's just weak.  I"m researching ways to help this, but was wondering if anyone had any experience."

I have seen products like these work VERY well in helping dogs walk properly when they are knuckling on the back leg.

http://www.ther.....ist-1.aspx

I have no affiliation with this company and am not endorsing this particular product. I have a current patient with a sciatic nerve injury in the hind leg after being hit by a car (she also had surgery for pelvic fractures and a front limb fracture). She got a brace similar to the above (but I do not know the particular company) from her rehab vet and it works great! She can walk normally on the paw with no knuckling while the brace is on.

Right hind limb amputated 7/3/12 for OSA, started on alternating cycles of Carboplatin and Doxorubicin and oral Palladia. Single lung met 9/1. Met in the neck muscle removed 9/30. Large mass in sublumbar lymph node 10/2. Rescue chemo with ifosfamide 10/6. Mets to the rib and axillary lymph node 10/21. Started Leukeran and Pred 10/25. Wookie left this Earth for a far better place on 12/4/12. I miss you, Boo, you were my heart.
