My dog had a front limb amputation 10 days ago and has been back and forth to vet to adjust pain meds. Today when he tries to lay straight down he cries in pain, stands up and cries for 30 Sec or so. He's fine to lay on couch though(supervised) tail goes between legs and ears slick back. he's eating, drinking, peeing and pooping ok. Any thoughts??

Welcome Duff, thanks for joining us (sorry you had to). Why did your pup lose his leg?

It's great that all of his bodily functions are normal and very cool you're working with your vet on the pain meds. What meds is he on and what kind of dosages? The tough thing about pain meds is too little or too much can result in similar symptoms.

Oh by the way your future posts will appear immediately now.
