We just heard about a new and very promising prescription to treat chemotherapy induced diarrhea in dogs. It's called Canalevia-CA1.

Here's how the manufacturer describes this very promising prescription:

Canalevia™-CA1 is a FDA conditionally approved product to treat chemotherapy-induced diarrhea (CID) in dogs. Currently, treatment for this condition is not adequately addressed by other available medications.

Canalevia™-CA1 fills a gap in available treatment options, easing the burden of illness and providing a well-tolerated treatment for CID in dogs.

Canalevia™-CA1 has a novel mechanism of action that normalizes the water influx into the GI tract that can improve the quality of life for the dog.

For now I believe it's only available in the US but I could be wrong. Let us know if you give it a try.
