We are looking for a safe and reliable Online Pharmacy to buy Rosie's Medications from. Besides Pet Meds. They are the most expensive ones if you compare their prices with others. I did some research and according to the Food And Drug Administration of the U.S. they say you have to be careful. There is an Accrediation called "VIPP" that is totally voluntary for these drug companies to become VIPP accredited. But there is only 4 on the list: that they say are VIPP approved.
Your search yielded 4 pharmacy(s):

Just wondered if any of you know of another pharmacy besides the above? PetMeds is still expensive, and the other ones don't have our medication. They don't always carry all the meds. So. Just wondering if anyone had success with a particular online pet pharmacy site?
The challenge with sourcing quality pet meds online is that accreditation reporting is indeed still voluntary, and the Vet VIPPS is a brand new service.
We hope you will consider the selection of online vet pharmacies we have compiled in the Tripawds Nutrition blog
. Purchases from PetcareRx and many others will help support our continuing efforts to maintain the Tripawds community!
Dr. Patty Khuly addressed this topic in a recent Fully Vetted post discussing VIPPS and the FDA's recommneded approach when researching veterinary medications online:
- A – Ask Your Veterinarian
- W – Watch for Red Flags (e.g., "No prescription needed!")
- A – Always Check for Site Accreditation (i.e., VIPPS)
- R – Report Problems and Suspicious Online Pharmacies (contact this FDA page)
- E – Educate Yourself about Online Pharmacies (here's the FDA's basic
veterinary page)

Can you get it from Walmart? I get Comet's antibiotics from Walmart for only $20 for a 3 months supply (cipro). They can get Rimadyl, too but it was higher at Walmart than our vet.
VCA will match prices from online stores like 1800PetMeds.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
What a great discussion, thanks for starting the topic. Hope you don't mind that we moved your topic, but we thought it was definitely more appropriate for the Tips and Resources forum.
