Hey everyone! I wanted to get a head start on looking for the right harness for Bubbles. I looked at a few forums, checked out the videos, and read the descriptions of the harnesses available in the shop, but I still dont know which one would be best suited for her. She weighed in at 48 lbs yesterday, will probably lose a couple more, but my bully baby is a low-energy, heavy weight, deep chested girl and a rear right amputee. We will be needing the harness for walks, in and out of the car, up and down stairs, and eventually when we've reached our goal as a therapy dog and are making our rounds. Any thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Definitely sounds like the Ruff Wear Webmaster would work just fine for her. Have you seen this blog post:
Which Harness is Right for My Dog?

Hi,
I saw in your other post thar Bubs was 10 days post op- sounds like she is doing well...yea!
My Tripawd was a little pug, also a rear amp. Although small enough to pick up, I wanted her to walk on her own, with the ability to help her as needed. I tried the Ruff Wear Web Master
harness, but I had trouble fitting her. Your girl is bigger than mine was, but close to the same build. Maggie had a deep chest, and according to girth measurements she needed an XS. But it was way too long, the back strap hit her in the hips. The XXS fit her body length, but was way too small to go around her chest. I finally modified the straps on the XXS (which voids the warranty) so it would go around her chest. I was OK with it because I was only lifting 17 pounds.
When I last ordered a Ruff Wear I couldn't find the length measurements- so I went with trial and error. I think if you don't take the tags off you can return it. And since I last bought one a new version came out, I don't know if the sizes are the same.
Good luck with your search.
Karen
Jerry, thank you! I *did* see the link you provided, but I kept going back and forth on harnesses! I think the one you recommended is the one we will go with. Thats the one I kept going back to, so thank you! =)
Karen, I truly appreciate your feedback. I have always had a little trouble fitting Bubs for anything because of your "interesting" body shape, lol. But luckily, we have a little time to return and try another if for whatever reason we cannot adjust the harness properly. I read your blog a while back, and Maggie seemed like such a sweet and strong girl. Thanks again for your advice!
