Whenever possible, we recommend anyone facing amputation for their dog visit a teaching hospital. Jerry was treated at UC Davis, and we are fortunate to live near Colorado State University, during the Summer.

In her Fully Vetted blog post today, Dr Patty Khuly discussed the nation's top vet schools:

1. Cornell University

2. University of California - Davis

3. Colorado State University

3. North Carolina State University

5. (tie) Ohio State University

5. (tie) University of Pennsylvania

5. (tie) University of Wisconsin - Madison

8. Texas A & M University – College Station

9. (tie) Michigan State University

9. (tie) University of Georgia

9. (tie) University of Minnesota – Twin Cities

If you are fortunate enough to have a recommended teaching hospital near you, or have any feedback regarding these institutions, please feel free to reply to this topic.
