Got another three legged pittie in need in the Madison area, though she's not available for adoption yet. If you scroll down a ways on their homepage, you'll find Janie among a few other dogs they're fundraising for medical treatment for:

She's a rear leg amputee with a torn cruciate ligament in her remaining knee that needs surgery. 
Please feel free to donate to her cause if you are so moved. I have not had direct contact with the shelter, but know people who have and they are a real, legitimate place. And if you think you may be interested in adopting her, I don't think it would hurt to get in touch with the shelter now, even though she isn't listed as available yet.
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
