Dottie is a loving 8-month old Puggle, who loves people and other dogs. She had the unfortunate experience of being allowed out without a leash and headed right into the street where she was hit by a car. Fortunately, luck was on Dottie's side, and she survived the hit. Her back right leg was shattered, and she had some internal injuries, but she is a strong little girl and survived. Because of the bone injury to her back right leg, it was determined that the best course of action was to amputate.
Dottie's family could not afford the vet expenses that were as a result of this incident, so Northern California Animal Rescue Friends accepted her into our rescue and has provided all of her medical care. Dottie is now up and about and can even get up stairs and onto the couch and bed. It is pretty amazing how fur babies bounce back after such a traumatic experience.
Dottie weighs 12 pounds and will need to maintain a low weight as a tripawd. She is spayed and will have all shots up-to-date and a chip prior to adoption. She is healthy and strong and wants to be with her people.
Dottie is ready for her new forever home. As a puppy, she needs a home with another dog or with someone who will be home with her for most of the day. She is very social.
Dottie's adoption fee is $350. If you would like to complete an application for Dottie, please email Ellen at ewelt@earthlink.net.
Thanks for sharing!
