Hello, fellow TriPawd moms and dads. My husband and I are hoping you might be able to help us find our Tripawd, Marley, a forever home. We met Marley back in July of 2012. He was brought in to a shelter in Georgia after being shot in the left front leg by a shotgun. You would never know Marley was missing a leg as he lives each day carefree and happy. We are guessing he is about 1 year old. He's neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and on yearly heartworm preventative. He is full-grown and weighing in at 38 pounds.

My husband and I adopted him hoping that he'd fit right in with our furry family. We've been working with him for about 6 months now, but sadly, our two other senior dogs are not enjoying his presence. They are beginning to gang up on him and boss him around. Marley is energetic and really needs to find a home with another younger dog, or a family that is eager to play with him.

When Marley is not playing, he is cuddling. He LOVES to sit on your lap, lay on his back and get bathed with rubbies. He's a very gentle kisser, sneaking in a lick or two on occasion.

Marley loves to go to dog parks and romp around with other dogs. He even goes to doggy daycare two times a week. He's very social, so please don't let the "pitt bull" in him scare you away. When dogs do get a little too abrasive, Marley gently lays down and shows his belly (a submissive act).

We are doing all that we can to keep from having to relinquish him to another shelter. I couldn't bare the idea of having to do that after being in our home for 6 months. However; for his safety, if we are unable to find him a home soon, I will not have much of a choice. We are asking you to please share his story and help us find him a loving, energetic, playful and supportive home.

He is already equipped with a 3-point Ruff Wear harness to get around town. He is also signed up for puppy classes at our local obedience class. If adopted before the classes begin, I will continue to pay for all his lessons.

I wish you the best of luck in finding Marley a new home! If I lived closer and my husband would allow me another animal I would rescue every animal I saw. (Probably a good thing he limits me!) He looks like a sweet boy! My tripawd is an old man and definitely rules the roost, Marley sounds a lot like my younger dog I know you will find Marley a great home with all the great people on this site!

Hi Laura, we, the girls and I, will take him IF the interested family in CO doesn't feel right to you. He'll have a 3 yr old female shepherd that will play with him as much as he'll let her, then there is a 6 yr old, a 9 yr old, a 10 yr old and the 11 yr old Chihuahua 10 acres fully fenced/gated. Good food too! & experience with a Tripaw life style because of our beloved Zuess (profile pic)

We may be able to get him on http://pilotsnpaws.org/ to Santa Fe or ABQ, or I'll make arrangements with my friend in FT. Collins to pick him up halfway between FT. CO and Santa Fe.

Zuessnr1, Thank you!!! Marley is with his potential family this weekend down in Colorado Springs. The update as of this morning is that he is LOVING his new family...even the cat! We are going to meet up again this coming weekend to see how things went. If it is not working out, I will definitely call you! Please keep him in your prayers that his new mommy and daddy, brother and cat are the perfect fit!
