Adopt a three legged dog in North Carolina

We just learned about this heroic pup from North Carolina. Won't you please spread the word and help us find a forever home for him?

"Dallas is a three year old Siberian Husky (who we believe to be pure). Dallas was born around 2006 and has been neutered. He was found wondering around alone and in severe pain! After xrays were done we found he had been shot at and had been hit by a car. Nothing was broken but the damage was done to his nerves which caused severe pain. Dallas had to have his front leg amputated due to nerve damage.

Dallas does well around other animals (even cats) especially dogs his size . He is VERY active and will require a fenced in yard preferably with a high energy dog as a companion. Huskies do not do well alone, they are pack animals. He does not like being alone and WILL climb a fence to find friends, even with three legs.

He is well behaved, house trained and sleeps on the floor by the bed at night. He does need to be supervised in the kitchen with food on the counter or table because it will "disappear".....If you feel you have the right place for DAllas please contact us. All dogs in the care of RCCPR are current on age appropriate vaccines by a licensed vet, heart worm tested negative, on flea/tick/heart worm preventative and dewormed. We will spay or neuter before 6 months whenever possible. We prefer indoor/outdoor homes for our dogs and would love to know they have a fenced in yard to keep them safe. All adoptions are subject to conditioned approval by its members. All adoption fees are non-refundable. Dog adoption fee is $35.00."
