Do you live in or near New Jersey? Looking for a lovely Tripawd who will be your best buddy for life? Then you've come to the right place! Meet Cole! Ain't he a cutie?
He's currently living in a vet clinic in Branchburg, New Jersey. The wonderful vet crew taking care of him emailed to tell us he wants a home asap. Here's what they say:
Cole is a very lucky 4 year old neutered male Shepherd mix dog, 50 lb, for adoption. He was hit by a train and lost his tail and right hind leg. After an extended veterinary stay, he is now ready for a new home!
Cole is good with cats but very reserved with other dogs; he prefers calm dogs that would ignore him. Cole can and will jump 4 foot fences but he does love to cuddle and get belly rubs. He loves life but is not hyper. He is housebroken and a quick learner.
There is a $50 Adoption fee, veterinary reference and home visit apply. We can drive 30 min for an initial visit. Up to an hour for a home visit at time of adoption.

HE IS ADORABLE!!!! I loooove that his head looks like it belongs on a bigger dog..as do those ears!!! A d that muzzle, those eyes...so cute!!
A d this has nothing to do with anything...just kinda' woo...woo. A year or so ago I posted about a very dear andgentle man named COLE MacFarland who had passed away. He was well known in the animal rights world because he had his leg AMPUTATED while saving his dog from being hit by a TRAIN!! He went on to bbecome very instrumental in starting the "no kill" shelter movement in areas most in need.
I'd adopt this dog in a heartbeat if I could!!!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
He's a cutie!
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Oh Sally I wonder if that's where they got Cole's name from? He has been at the clinic for about a year.
