Charlyne's Pound Puppies in Thorndale, TX (near Austin) rescued this 2 year old Min Pin mix that was injured by a hit and run driver which severed Xena's nerve to right front leg. Hello, my name is Xena. It used to be something else but when Charlyne's Pound Puppies rescued me after being hit by a car, they decided I was a Princess Warrior! Because of the car accident I had to have my leg amputated. Now I am a Tripawd, and proud of it. I can run as fast as ever (just not as long as I used to)! I had a hard life before CPP took me in. It frightens me when people shout at me or raise their hand to me. But I forget easily and can’t wait to snuggle up as close as I can to my caregivers. I like dogs that are about my size and cats are ok too. I weigh about 10 lbs and am a Miniature Pinscher mixed with something else…perhaps a dachshund. Xena is still available for adoption! But we are looking for a home for her in Texas. We can't ship a dog especially in this heat and we want to make sure it's a good fit, so the closer to Austin, TX the better in case Xena would have to be returned. Thank you for understanding.

Xena found her furever home today. She will have another doggy playmate and a wonderful mom! It was hard to see her go after fostering her for 5 months. Thanks for the support we have gotten from Tripawds.com.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

I'm so happy for Xena that she has found her forever home!!
And thank you for what you do with fostering...it takes a special person to provide pups in need with love and support until they reach their permanent home. Me...I would just want to keep each one that came into my home.

I was about ready to keep the little cutie but this lady that took her home will give her a very special home something more than I could give her, I am sure of that.
