Hey there,
Trio and I have used the wordpress app on iphone and ipad for a while to post and comment etc. However I am getting a forbidden access code and now cannot log in at all. I contacted wordpress and they noted that it could be a hosting issue with XMLRPC. This is all greek to me, but not sure if you know how to fix it?

You receive a "code" or you are just forbidden access?
You say you've used the app "for a while" ... to post in the forums or just on blogs? And when did the issue start occurring?
...it could be a hosting issue with XMLRPC.
Yes, xmlrpc has been disabled on Tripawds sites as a security measure after far too many attempts to attack our server by exploiting its widely known flaws. We'll need to investigate this further, but it may mean the app cannot be used to manage Tripawds Blogs .

I have only used the app to post to the blog. It makes it easy to share the photos that I take on my phone. I first got the issue this week, but have not posted in a few months (bad tripawd mommy!) It must be that it is disabled because of security reasons. Guess I will have to go back to posting on the computer. And I have only used forums on the computer.

Thanks for the clarification. We took the xmlrpc security precaution only in the last couple weeks. You would be surprised at how consistently it is under attack!

Sorry for the inconvenience, xmlrpc will remain disabled for security reasons.
Of 9300+ registered Tripawds members, only three have reported trying to use the WordPress app, including Jerry, while we get hit thousands of times a day by bots attempting to exploit the code. 
It may not be as user friendly, but the website interface for all Tripawds blogs remains fully functional on mobile devices.
