Well, is this a new deal for everyone, or are you just trying to help me with my rudimentary math skills? At the end of each post I type, before it will save and post it, this box requests that I do some math. Okay, fine, but if it starts asking for anything harder than algebra I am afraid I won't be able to play. I could find a calculator somewhere, but chances are slim that I will remember the formulas needed for advanced posting and entering on the tripawd site...

It's not just you, Elizabeth. When I first started on the forums we had the tricky math questions and then they went away and we could post without them, for which I was very relieved because I'm dreadful at math. I was disappointed with the reappearance of Math Required! but I'm sure there's a good reason it's been reinstituted.
I'm totally hooped if the questions go beyond simple addition and involve more than double digit numbers.

Perhaps not a good reason, but there was a valid reason! Me culpa… in modifying permissions so new members could post without requiring moderation, we inadvertantly turned the spam check back on for registerred members.
We have turned in back off so you need not worry about those complex calculations anymore. If still prompted with the anti-spam equation, please clear your browser cache and reload the page (copy any post content first!).
Coincidentlally, we did receive a spam post from a new member after making the permission changes so all first posts from any registerred member will require moderation once again, but even those will not require any mah.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for pointing this out!
