OK, I had trouble getting logged in last week and just gave up. I tried again tonight, and again, my password wasn't accepted. Right after I requested a new password and was waiting for the e-mail to facilitate that, the log in screen came up again. I typed my password in ( no new one yet) and it accepted it right away.
Has anyone else been having this trouble. I haven't been very active for the last tow to three weeks — would that have anything to do with my difficulties?

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.

No, embers can log in no matter when they last did.
FYI: If you see the log-in screen, then you have not been blocked by the server's firewall, so that does not appear to be the issue.
Note that multiple failed log-in attempts will get your IP address blocked as a security measure against forced entry.
Also note that your username and password are both Case Sensitive, so the caps lock key will trigger a failed log-in.
Are you receiving the failed log-in error or just a timeout? If the latter occurs, the server may be experiencing a temporary high load. Wait ten minutes and try again. If the former is happening, see above notes.
Hope this helps. We are also interested in hearing from others who may be experiencing difficulties.
