That's great!
So, what we added to the Chat page works for You? Showing the Current Tripawds Time will suffice?

Now I'm confused...
Me too.
Once you log in it shows all the posts in the timezone you're in, doesn't it? And if you're not logged in it shows them the site timezone.
This is correct. Nice catch!
Do you mean you'd like it to show the time the post was made in the local timezone of the person posting
That could be rather confusing to most users.
To Clarify: The Chat and Forums are two completely different animals. What you now see on the chat page is the current Tripawds Time (Server time), above the chat box in addition to the specific time (Server time) each comment is posted to the chat box. The forums dynamically display time based on time zone setting of the user configured in your Forums Profile, or Server time if not logged in.
So...do we just need to add a current_time notice somewhere in the forums like we did on the Chat page?

So other people's comments in the forums are shown as their or my time?? No, hang on. My time. Duh. sorry.
No need to apologize! The timestamp of all forum posts is displayed in the current user's (your) time zone, depending on the timezone set in your Forums Profile.
so I guess with my little idea we now have the tripawds time shown twice, once on top the chat and then in the chat.
Again, the chat is totally separate from the forums and only displays Tripawds Time (Server time, US/MST). No settings are available for the user to change that.
but maybe it still makes sense if new people see the time first?
That is what we have done, in the Chat...still trying to determine if we need to add that here in the forums. Or if something more is needed.
sorry if I am really annoying here, admin!! Â
Not at all...just don't get Sally involved.

I just had a very good chuckle at that one. A quiet chuckle, so nobody hears...😊 No, I won't tell! Sssshhhhhh...🙄
I don't think it's necessary in the forums as one probably doesn't expect an immediate response. Â You just have to know the site already to know the layout and understand everything and you probably don't figure out right away that time zones can be different. I think it's fine now! Thank you!
